The
1856 Country Store is an authentic, old-fashioned village store
nestled among stately sea captains' homes on beautiful Main
Street in Centerville.
The store has delighted generations of youngsters with its huge
selection of penny candies, and it offers unusual gift items
to visitors and year-rounders alike.
Artist Karen North Wells found this red painted store with its
colorful windowboxes a charming subject to paint. Prints of
her watercolor and other Cape Cod scenes are, like this card,
also best sellers. Available at the store and at her Underground
Art Gallery as well as other Cape locations, they express our
longing for a simpler time. |
