Built
and rebuilt, and moved and renovated since its origin in 1887,
this quaint old structure in the center of Ocean Park is now
a landmark in a village full of landmarks.
Oak bluff's Victorian houses attract visitors from nearby Cape
Cod as well as from around the world. Originally called Cottage
City, Oak Bluffs is only a short bike ride from the ferry terminal
at Vineyard haven but it's like stepping into another world.
Not far from this bandstand, rows of tiny Victorian Cottages
in bright colors and ornate trim have been the subjects of a
million photos and uncounted paintings. |
