What
more fitting echo of the sea and sky than the blue and white
of summer hydrangeas? The flowers seem to have a second life;
once the bright colors have faded, the dried blossoms turn a
beautiful shade of smoky gray-brown, and last all winter.
Hydrangeas are one of Karen's most popular painting themes. |
